iCare’s Youth Services

At iCare, we provide a range of support services to young people who are temporarily unable to live with their family or foster carers.

Youth support in the Northern Territory

Residential care

We offer temporary accommodation tailored for young people who cannot reside with their family or foster carers. Our focus is on creating supportive environments that nurture growth and stability during challenging times.

Specialist disability accommodation (SDA)

Our SDA options are designed to meet the unique needs of young people with high support requirements. These homes feature specialised modifications to promote independence.

Out of home care

We provide 24-hour emergency respite and youth work support services. This includes a dedicated 24-hour emergency call-out service for assistance and care whenever it’s needed most.

Our approach

iCare uses evidence-based, trauma-informed methods to support children and families in understanding how trauma impacts their lives. Our approach includes the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) model, equipping staff to help children manage stress constructively.

This approach helps children learn adaptive emotional coping strategies through observing effective crisis management.

Our dedicated staff undergo continuous training and receive ongoing support to effectively implement these models in caregiving, teaching, and guiding children.
